TCAPWA/SWANA CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

challenges during practice and judging rounds.

To the untrained observer, the challenges look
impossible. There is no way that giant bucket can pick up
a metal rod and place it into a standing PVC pipe. No way!

Each competitor knows that it can be done by a very
steady hand. Slow, gentle, precise movements make the
impossible possible. The real competitive advantage is to
know the machinery so well that the impossible task can
be done in only fractions of seconds.

The concentration it takes to manipulate a massive
machine immediately showcases the respect Public Works
employees have for the equipment they work with day in
and day out. The power harnessed in the mighty moving
equipment becomes larger than life with so many pieces
moving in so many directions all in one location.

Congratulations to all of the participants and event
winners.
