When the LaGuardo Utility District needed a new primary machine for its
workload, the Cat® 416F2 proved to be the perfect match to its needs.
Established in 1976, the District covers rural parts of Wilson County and serves
3,200 customers. General Manager Joey Hardin reports, “Our customer base is
98 percent residential, and the district includes 115 miles of water line.”
The size of the 416F2 was one of the features that made it a good match for his
needs, Hardin comments. “We really like the extended boom – it provides a lot
more reach, and reduces the times we actually have to drive the machine into
a yard. Also, we utilize multiple buckets, depending on the job, and the quick-
coupler feature is great.”
