TCAPWA EVENTS AND HIGHLIGHTS
Middle Branch Meets in Old Hickory By Rocky Robinson
Meeting held at the Hermitage Golf Course
The Middle Branch Quarterly meeting, sponsored by LDA Engi-
neering and hosted by Middle Branch Director Cody Osborne, met on
April 20, at the Hermitage Golf course in Old Hickory. The meet-
ing started with an enlightening presentation by LDA Engineering’s
Stephanie Livingston titled, “Resources Hidden in Plain Sight.” The
presentation emphasized how companies and individuals alike are
choosing to live, work, and play in areas with better quality of place
over those with tax breaks and subsidies. Stephanie illustrated how
other cities have taken advantage of this information from the benefits
have they seen, and the steps that can be taken to influence the quality
of place within a community.
The meeting hosted approximately 40 members and
guests from around the mid-state including Henderson-
ville, Mt. Juliet, Lebanon, Laverne, and White House. As
the presentation ended, Middle Branch Director Cody Os-
borne thanked the sponsors and guests for attending, and
welcomed Young Professional member JD Lane to the po-
dium to encourage Young Professional development from
other municipalities to help grow and support the associa-
tion. As the luncheon concluded members and guests
were able to enjoy a great networking opportunity and
a chance to play golf on one of Middle Tennessee’s most
popular courses, The Hermitage. Special thanks to LDA
Engineering, Stringfellow Inc., and to all of the members
and guests that attended in support of TCAPWA.
