National Public Works Week kicked off
one of the most epic weeks in the city of
Nashville’s sports and special event his-
tory, hosting the Stanley Cup Final, Coun-
try Music Television Award Show, and The
Country Music Association Festival.

Each year Metro Nashville Public Works
celebrates National Public Works Week,
and each year the celebration gets bigger
and better. This year’s luncheon was spon-
sored by the Nashville Convention and
Visitors Corp, the Country Music Associa-
tion, and was provided by Peg Leg Porker.
The meal included catered pork shoulder,
smoked chicken, along with an assortment
of side dishes and colorful desserts. The
week-long celebration is a tribute to our
road, sign, signal, trash, and brush crews
that help keep Nashville clean and beautiful
while performing services at the highest
level. The staff of the Metro Nashville Pub-
lic Works Department is proud to be part
of the city’s growth and success. We strive
for the common goal of quality customer
service and improving the vitality of life in
the city of Nashville.
