The Water Filter Plant gave water
bottles to those in attendance to fill with
Kingsport’s very own water. Booklets

“The Amazing Journey of Water – My
Water River to Tap” were given to all ages,
explaining where our water comes from,
the process, and the people behind our
water.
Stormy, the Water Services mascot, was
at the event. Folks of all ages like to have
their photo taken with Stormy or wear a
Stormy sticker.
“Band PW” returned to the event. The
band features Public Works employees
and their musical talents.
Fleet Maintenance participated in this
year’s event, displaying a police cruiser
converted to propane, and also an electric
car. The public were able to see how the
city implemented propane conversion as
part of the “going green” fleet initiative;
and how propane conversion offers fuel
