PUbLiC Works Week by bill kilp

Tis year the Town of Collierville’s Public Service Department held its annual
Public Works Week celebration on Tursday May 15th 2014. Included among
some the attendees of this year’s celebration were the PW Department’s employees,
Town Administration, Planning & Engineering Department, Finance Department,
members of the Board of Alderman, and the Mayor.
Employees from the Public Service Department and guests enjoyed a wide variety
of activities including an equipment rodeo and a horseshoe tournament, a favorite of
the departments’ employees. In addition employees and guests enjoyed a luncheon
provided by the Public Service Department and served by the Public Service
Department Administrative staf. At the end of the day everyone who attended had
a fun flled afernoon celebrating a week dedicated to the men and women that work
throughout the year to make our community the great place it is to live in.
