Te city of Chattanooga Public Works Department
celebrated the important work that our employees do
every day during Public Works Week with events that
demonstrated our commitment to community outreach
and employee appreciation. At prominent locations
throughout the City’s parks and intersections we set up
displays on heavy equipment to engage our community
in recognizing our employees. On a Saturday, a group
of thirteen public works employees volunteered to
assist repairing a home with Habitat for Humanity. Our
best heavy equipment operators competed in our own
Equipment Rodeo and the winners of those competitions
will compete in the TCAPWA Equipment Rodeo in
October.

Public Works hosted an Employee Appreciation Luncheon for over 500 Public Works’ employees, supporting department offcials, sponsors, elected offcials, and
administrators from surrounding public works departments.
