Collierville PW Employees
Best at Fundraising
They work hard, often very hard, on their weekday job. Yet when
the weekend came around, recently, four friends/co-workers at the
Town of Collierville, gladly spent time involved with ‘Dodge This’,
the annual dodge ball tournament fundraiser benefitting Youth Vil-
lages.
The ‘Jager Bombers’ dodge ball team includes four men who
work in the Streets and Drainage Division of Collierville Public
Services Department; Jacob Harvey, Sandy Lay, Jacob Rapp and Clay
Ticer were four of the six-man team who each paid $30 to partici-
pate in the Youth Villages benefit.
And…this year, their second year in competition…they won…
first place in the dodge ball tournament!!
In their first year to participate, 2013, the team focused on really
great team uniforms. That competition they won, but didn’t even
come close in the actual dodge ball tournament.
So this year, when Team Leader/Captain Clay Ticer pulled the
group together again, they grabbed t-shirt and shorts, whatever was
handy; some donned a hat or a headband, and headed to the field. A Championship Season
