Town of Collierville Top four overall winners in the
equipment rodeo from left to right:
This year the Town of Collierville’s Public Gary Dees, Streets and Drainage,
Service Department held its annual Public Crew Leader; Justin Wilburn, Streets
Works Week celebration on Thursday, May and Drainage, Heavy Equipment
19. Included among the attendees of this Operator; David Finley, Water
year’s celebration were the Department’s Distribution, Heavy Equipment
employees, Town Administration, Planning Operator; and John Toole, Streets
and Engineering Department, Finance and Drainage, Heavy Equipment
Department, members of the Board of Operator.

the Public Service Department and guests
enjoyed a wide variety of activities including
an Equipment Rodeo giving employees and
guests the opportunity to compete in the
operation of several pieces of equipment and
a Horse Shoe Tournament – a favorite of the
Department’s employees.

In addition to the various activities,
employees and guests also enjoyed a
luncheon provided by the Public Service
Department and served by the Public
Service Department Administrative staff.
Following the competition, the Department
held an awards ceremony and announced
the top four overall rodeo competitors who
will continue on to compete at the State
Conference held in Memphis in November.
At the end of the day, all who attended had
a fun-filled afternoon celebrating a day
dedicated to the men and women who work
throughout the year to make our community
the great place it is to live.
