Middle Branch Meets in Nashville TCAPWA EVENTS AND HIGHLIGHTS
By Phillip Jones

The Middle Branch Quarterly meeting, sponsored Left to right: Sponsors Trae Strain, Britt Ward, Hank Cuevas, Joey
by Blacklidge Emulsions, Inc., and hosted by Opera- McKay of Blacklidge Emulsions Inc., and Middle Branch Director
tions Manager of the Metro Nashville Public Works Phillip Jones.
Department and Middle Branch Director Phillip
Jones, met on July 27 at First Tennessee Park, home of
the Nashville Sounds.

The meeting started with a very instructive presenta-
tion on Ultra Tack, “The Original Trackless Tack” from
Blacklidge Emulsions, Inc. Britt Ward, Trae Strain,
Joey McKay, and Hank Cuevas took part in presenting
an exceptional product. All Public Works profession-
als deal with the unsightly and somewhat controversial
mess that paving operations demand. This product
works to narrow those demands by reducing compac-
tion efforts, cleanup times, and is applied using a con-
ventional distributor to also help cut down on associated costs. The Branch
Meeting hosted more than 70 members and guests from across Middle
Tennessee, including Rutherford County, Franklin, Columbia, Gallatin and
Goodlettsville.

As the presentation concluded, the guests were treated to a well-catered
meal of Nashville hot chicken, barbecue, ribs, and fresh-baked cookies – all
while enjoying a day baseball game between the Nashville Sounds and the
Colorado Springs Sky Sox. This was another great networking and infor-
mational opportunity for members and guests to enjoy. Attendees were also
privileged to have several guests from the Tennessee Highway County Of-
ficials. Special thank you to Blacklidge Emulsions, Inc., for sponsoring this
great event, and to all the members and guests who were able to attend.
